Procurement Support

Continuous communications and support to the procurement office is key to ensuring that resources, equipment and bulks are received in a timely manner and meeting the project requirement. We offer the following support: 

Purchase Orders

  • Advise on the release of Purchase Orders in order to meet Long Lead Deliveries
  • Review Purchase Orders to ensure that the requirements and referenced documents meet the project requirements
  • Report any key changes during the Engineering or Construction Phases are reported to Procurement, so the change can be incorporated. 

Milestone Payments (Inspections & FAT)

  • Perform regular inspections and and tests according to the Inspection and Test Plan, and report status to the PM.
  • Ensure that any performance, non-compliance issues or delays are recorded and resolved.
  • Coordinate the FAT if required with the Customer and Class Approval / Agency / Administration.
  • Report to the Procurement and PM Office regarding milestone targets being met, for Milestone Payment release.

Shipping & Receiving

  • Ensure that the equipment is properly preserved and packaged prior to shipping
  • Ensure that the equipment is shipped with the latest FAT/As-Built documentation
  • Inspection of the equipment upon delivery to verify no damage has occurred, or if damage has occurred, to record and report the damage.
  • Verify that preservation has been continuous during the transit period if stipulated, and to re-instate preservation if required.

Sub-Contract Management

  • Ensure sub-contractors are being supported and able to perform their work
  • Ensure sub-contractors performance is meeting project expectations
  • Coordinate SC progress meetings and report progress back to PM

Logistical Support

  • Manage or assist in logistical support activities such as special resources for inspections and tests and any specific equipment or materials
  • Provide on-site logistic support to the yard and SCs as required

Change Order Management

  • Verify any changes or deviations to the contract and to log the changes
  • Manage or support change order and variation requirements
  • Maintain accurate records on changes and manpower / equipment / materials that form part of any change order.
